Our Team
Our Values are: Respect – Integrity – Courage – Honesty – Insight (RICHI)
Our Mission
Our purpose is to train coaches of quality and calibre through ICF-accredited education grounded in respect, integrity and insight so growth doesn't stop with us, it moves through everyone our graduates go on to coach.
Our Vision
We strive to see a world where every workplace, community and family has access to genuinely excellent coaching. We won't get there by coaching everyone ourselves, but we can make an impact by training the coaches who will, so that individuals, teams and organisations can realise their full potential far beyond what AIPC could reach alone.
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the coaching industry's leading global body. It sets the education, ethics and competency standards that define properly trained coaching practice. When a program is ICF-aligned, it's been built to meet those standards.
For you, that comes down to one practical thing. The coach-specific education hours required for an ICF credential are already built into your training. There's no separate hours to source, no gap to fill later. The course itself accounts for them.
This is the same standard behind both levels of the Diploma of Professional Coaching. Level 1 meets the full ICF education-hours requirement on its own. Level 2 the Diploma plus a specialisation meets it too, while taking you further into the area you want to practise in. Wherever you start, you're training to the same standard throughout.

Our Philosophy
We believe in the power of a well-asked question and the discipline of asking it honestly. Our philosophy is to hold space through respect, courage and insight, for people to see a better future for themselves, discover their own truth and find solutions that hold up in real life, not just in theory.

What support looks like when you study with us
Starting a new qualification while you're already holding down a career, a family or a business is a real thing to weigh. We take that seriously. Every student trains with an education team alongside them for the length of the course. Learning is self-paced to fit around a life already in motion, and support is there whenever a question comes up.

Dr. Susanne Knowles founded the Australian Institute of Professional Coaches in 2012. Her motivation was to bring the powerful benefits of coaching to all individuals seeking to resolve their problems and achieve their goals but who have been frustrated because of the ordinary hassles of daily life.
In addition, she wanted to legitimise coaching as an alternate form of personal and professional development separate from mentoring, training, supervision, counselling and therapy. Dr Knowles has post-graduate qualifications in Business Administration, Education and Organisational Psychology.
She established the AIPC to teach individuals how to coach professionally, legally and ethically, giving the client undivided attention and unconditional positive regard to achieve a successful outcome owned and committed to by the client.
"The role of the coach is to bring out the very best in people, to help them reach their full potential We create excellent qualified coaches and help them make a real difference!"
Susanne completed her PhD at the University of Queensland investigating how organisations develop a coaching culture. Her previous experience was as Deputy Director-General of the Department of Training and Industrial Relations oversighting TAFE Queensland. Susanne’s first book Positive Psychology Coaching has received excellent reviews.
